Install Zebra Zp 450

Two Identical workstation running Windows 8.1. Both used for Office, Browsing, and Printing Endicia Pro for postage on a Zebra LP 2844 with latest drivers (5.x) from Zebra with Dazzle program. Upgraded one to Windows 10. Worked great, everything worked, printed labels, booted faster seemed faster overall than the Windows 8.1 machine.

Then in late August 2015 an automatic update came from Microsoft. This caused the printing ONLY from Endicia Dazzle program to have issues and fail.

Can/ How do I set up a Zebra ZP 450 printer to print USPS labels? After purchasing this printer I found out it is designed for UPS Labels. Any help would be appreciated.

First label would print fine.

Second label would not print

Clicking on the printer I could see that somehow the first job was still in the queue ( said Printing .. even though it was done). Right click to cancel print job - it would go away but the queue still stuck. Shutdown reboot - the first label would print again. But no other labels. Cancel all stuck jobs. Shutdown reboot.

In this state I could print ONE label. But, the above situation repeated itself

All other programs print fine to that printer, queue / spooler behaves - only Endicia Pro and Dazzle seem to have the problem. Latest versions of everything - reinstalled Zebra driver - there is a problem. Endica 2nd tier tech support tried a few things but problem is too new - they just don't have enough complaining to do anything.

Software

Next going to try uninstalling updates. One by one until I figure out which one is the bad update. Not fun.

If anyone has an ideal - post it here.

Okay, I ran into this issue and googling it did not solve my issue. So I hope this helps someone else out.

We had a ups zp 450 printer and new windows 8.1 pc.

First tried the drivers from ups at http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/resources/ship/create/labels/technical.html

I ran into the issue where it would not install the drivers and the error was driver was not digitally signed. Phoned ups support and they said it was a Microsoft issue and directed me to a youtube video here titled 3rd party inf not digitally signed:

While I did not perform the task I was already familiar with temporarily disabling the digital certificate checks.

I did not believe the ups support that this was the only fix. So I went to the manufacturer website here:

Install

You have to create an account but eventually you can download the drivers from them.

I ran their install and it worked like a charm.

Hope this helps anyone having the same issue.
