Mongoose Serial Number Identification
The name comes from Tom 'The Mongoose' Macewan One of the first, and best BMX frames. Distinctive designs and lots of innovations. Still making bikes today, they have seen it all thru the years. Flip the bike upside down and check the bottom bracket for a serial number. The bottom bracket is the piece that your crank arms and pedals extend from.

My knowledge on anything pre-1981 BMX is pretty good, after that I know it but need to research it up sometimes but I usually find an answer.

I had at one point, every decal set produced for 1982 or earlier bikes, both foil and prismatic for all the above frames. All of Randy's repo decals came from scans of mine.

1975/6 dealer price sheet and ad slicks
1978 catalog
1979/80 catalog
A few other assorted items. Most are now gone now, to pay for other things. I did at one point about two years ago have one of every.
